What a year it has been. There have certainly been some challenges. Some changes will be permanent, some will be temporary. Either way, change can create stress and overwhelm.

I know I have had some challenges. Choices have been made based on the new environment we find ourselves in.

My face to face classes were put on hold, and the time of writing this, I was getting ready to schedule some face to face classes when a new outbreak of the Corona virus hit northern Sydney, with reach on to the Central Coast.

I am hopeful that people will do the right thing and it will be contained. I am still positive that we can return to some in person classes in the new year.

This time of year also has potential for creating stress and anxiety. Even more so with the limitations on travel and groups. I invite you to take time out for yourself, even if it is only 5 minutes, and just sit. Just be. Breathe. Breathe from your belly not your chest. Make your out breath longer than your in breath. This will trigger the relaxation response, the antidote to stress.
